It’s not fancy or modern, but from the moment you walk through the door, we will welcome you with a happy smile and make sure that you receive the highest quality of service possible. Residents are encouraged to personalise their own room to make it just like home.
The residents are involved in a wide range of activities, in line with their ability and requests run by our dedicated activity coordinators Jackie and Julie, who plan painting or drawing sessions, music events, going to church, flower planting or reminiscence games. This is part of our highly personalised approach and together with the highly trained staff, reliable facilities and services makes us the best choice for your loved ones.
From the moment you step into Ridgeway Court you can feel the friendly and homely atmosphere. We aim to provide the finest quality of care and understanding for our residents. The staff go out of their way to provide the support that residents need to help them live a fulfilled and active life according to their individual needs. We cater for those from all walks of life and are passionate about what we do.
Training
Staff training plays a major priority at Ridgeway Court. All our staff are trained a series of mandatory courses, amongst which listed below, as well as job specific roles, such as customer service, communication or time management.

An essential part of our home life is organising stimulating activities for residents to keep minds and bodies active. We have a dedicated activities co-ordinator at the home.
Weekly visits by hairdresser and beautician.
‘Move it Mobility’ - seated exercises and games.
Regular visits of clergy and communion.
Poetry-reading session.
Board games and dominos.
Sing-a-longs with visiting musical comperes and entertainers.
Floor games - Skittles, targets, etc.
Balloon Games.
Animal visits – owls and exotic animals.
Supervised craft work and painting opportunities.
Outside gardening with accessible raised flower beds.
One to One sessions.
Escorted trips out - local cafe, walks into the village.
Reminiscence activities.
